Professor Zhang specializes in biosensors and nanobiology and has published 280+ peer-reviewed papers. His current interest is to develop advanced analytical tools based on synthetic biology to elucidate the scientific problems in virology, cancer cell biology and cell-biology. He serves as the member of editorial board or advisory board of a number of prestigious academic journals such as Biosensors & Bioelectronics, Science China-Life Sciences, etc. As the principal coordinator, he has participated in the strategic study of the national development plan of interdisciplinary sciences and synthetic biology.
