Professor John Zhang has won awards including the Camille and Henry Dreyfus New Faculty Award, the National Science Foundation Presidential Faculty Fellowship, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Research Fellowship, Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar. Overseas outstanding young scientists award (type B), Changjiang lecture professorship of MOE of China. He has over 400 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He currently serves as an associate editor of Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. Current research directions: computer and artificial intelligence technology for drug design, protein (enzyme) design, protein-small molecule interaction, protein-protein interaction, computer simulation of complex chemical reaction systems, etc.
