Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences was established in 2006, and it is deployed in frontier scientific fields such as big data and artificial intelligence, brain science, synthetic biology, cybernetics, and materials science. SIAT has 408 postgraduate tutors, 85% of whom have overseas experience, and a total of more than 8,000 postgraduates have been trained. In 2018. The University of Macau is the only international comprehensive public university in Macau. Founded in 1981, it has the unique advantage of multicultural coexistence. It is the first university in Macau that has been accredited by AACSB and AMBA. The University of Macau fully supports three national key laboratories (Chinese medicine quality research, analog and mixed-signal VLSI and smart city Internet of Things), three key research directions (tumor precision medicine, advanced materials and regional marine engineering), three Cross-research areas (artificial intelligence, cognitive and brain sciences, and data sciences), as well as the research and development of three humanities research platforms (Macau Research Center, Asia Pacific Institute of Economics and Management, and Advanced Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences). In May 2019, SIAT and the University of Macau signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. According to the agreement, the two parties began to cooperate in recruiting joint doctoral students. The project implements a dual tutor system. The basic educational system principle is 4 years. Students will study courses at the University of Macau in the first year. After completing the courses, students will mainly conduct scientific research and practice in SIAT; complete the learning requirements stipulated in the training program and meet the graduation and degree The students who are granted the conditions will eventually obtain a degree from the University of Macau.
After negotiating with the University of Macau, the recruitment of the 2021/2022 academic year doctoral joint training program is now launched. Outstanding students are welcome to apply!

There are 5 half-scholarship places; self-financed places are to be determined, and the best applicants will be selected among the competitors.
1. Students must pay relevant fees to the University of Macau in accordance with the relevant regulations of the University of Macau;
2. Tuition fee: The four-year tuition fee for a Ph.D. is approximately MOP 111,760 (specifically subject to the actual announcement by the University of Macau), paid in eight installments;
3. Accommodation fee: MOP $6,900/person/semester;
4. In the 2021/2022 academic year, the University of Macau will provide 5 half-scholarship places for joint training students, half-scholarship grants of MOP 75,000, and grants are issued monthly in installments, and SIAT tutors will bear the other half of the scholarship of MOP 75,000;
5. The expenses of other self-financed students shall be borne by the student (or tutor);
6. The students studied at the University of Macau in the first year and returned to SIAT for research and study in the second year. During the SIAT study period, SIAT will provide students with grants and basic accommodation in accordance with relevant regulations.
